Sensei Russell began his karate journey in 1993, training under Sensei Ron Silverthorne 8th Dan in Crawley, West Sussex,
In 2000, Sensei Russell started FSKA Bracknell and opened his first Bracknell karate club. Teaching Classes at the Great Hollands Community Centre and several Primary schools at all Levels from beginners to Black Belts in Funakoshi Shotokan karate.
Sensei Russell has also attended many seminars training under Kancho Kenneth Funakoshi, and several other seminars including Kancho Soke Kanazawa, Kancho Nobuaki Kanazawa, Tetsuhiko Asai Shihan, Masao Kagawa Shihan, Sensei Scott Langly, Sensei Matt Price, Iain Abernethy,
Over the years of teaching and training Sensei Russell has attended and taken teams to competitions in the Uk and overseas, including the World Championships, where he and his students won many trophies and medals,
The club is very popular within Bracknell and Wokingham and Sensei Russell teaches karate twice a week now at St Teresa’s school in Wokingham
Sensei Russell holds a valid DBS certificate, formally known as co CRP? check as part of his teaching karate in Bracknell, and is also a qualified First Aider,
